Morocco, 40 years on.

In February 2015, Jen, Steve and Paula set off to explore Southern Morocco.
The itenary looked good, but nothing could prepare us for just how great this holiday was.

Here is our route. It`s not too detailed but gives a general idea of where we were.

As the days passed by in a whirl of activity, with not much time to even fill in my daily diary.....(with 10 extra pages) many visits seemed to be added to make our time there
so much more than we expected.

From the High Atlas passes.......

.......up incredibly twisting, corkscrew roads.....

........past red mud cities and villages......

......into local markets.....

........ walks through the fields to the hotel.......

.......crossing rickety bridges.....

.......visits to co-operatives to view carpets and hangings.....

.......mint tea and music in a Berber tent.......

.......a camel ride through the Sahara.....

........a night under the stars........

 .........quad-biking......

........visiting Ait Ben Haddou........

.......and so to Marrakesh, to the souks and the world-famous square.....

........the Majorale  Gardens......

......and a ride home in a horse and cart.

What more could you want and actually what more could we have possibly fitted in?

And that was only a taster.
