Sitting on the doorstep this evening, in the last of the sun, contemplating a glorious day of gardening and sunshine.......mulling over the last few Easter days.
Unfortunately we are on a diet day, otherwise there would have been a glass of wine in my hand.
A lovely family meal on Easter Day with Frazer`s first egg hunt. In the end he got the idea.
We followed up our roast lamb dinner with a walk in the anemone filled woods.
Today we have been planting potatoes.
From the front doorstep I can see and smell hyacinths, Tete a tete daffodils, pansies.......
The window box is really getting going.
The grape hyacinths have done what they are supposed to do this year.......flower.
They don`t always.
The round bed of daffodils looks special with the sun behind.
Such a lovely long weekend for everyone.
And 5 hours of gardening today which might go some way to using up
all the chocolate calories consumed..
I really do love this time of year. There are so many pretty flowers around and finally some colour to admire in the garden. Let's hope the delayed spring this year will mean we get a good summer (fingers crossed) x x x
ReplyDeleteI quite agree. Seeds seem to be moving after a slow start.
