Of Wreaths and Trees and Sparkly Things

This blog entry will be quite large judging by the photos I have resized.
A busy few weeks with the decoration of our bedroom taking priority.
Now it`s just finishing touches.
The tree is decorated.
Five wreaths have been made and distributed.
We visited the Harborough Nursery Christmas Fair.
Paula was very pleased to see that there was a field of Christmas trees to choose from.
We weren`t exactly dressed to tramp round a muddy field but nontheless set out with a will.
Beautiful trees.

The kind man cutting the trees let me take a bundle of trimmings in the spirit of Christmas.
So in the spirit of Christmas I was able to make five wreaths for the family.
This one is ours.
Our own tree came from B and Q and it is lovely.
On Saturday we went to the Christmas festivities in Rye and watched Santa arrive on a boat, reflecting the town`s past glory.
The town was full of festive happenings, open stalls, craft fairs, choirs in the streets, an ice rink and people in fancy dress. It was all most enjoyable.

Yesterday we made a brief visit to the garden and came across Anne and Hollie taking one of the donkeys for a trial run with the little cart.

Peggy was the passenger but I believe the passenger may be more important next weekend.

The garden looks a little bleak at this time of the year but there is a little
something to gladden the heart.

A view of the little house, only seen in winter.....

....the colour green I would love to wear if only I could find it....

At home the acer didn`t change colour until the first week in December and then the leaves were gone very quickly.

A family of elves took up residence in the garage for the Christmas season.

One of the orchid flowers in the bathroom decided to make a rather rare appearance.

And finally some of my latest crafts.....

    1. They are a delight to make and I`m thinking they would be nice to hang on a themed Xmas tree.
