I have decided to blog our stay in the Sunrise yurt as a series of magical moments, because that`s just what it was, from beginning to end.
Some of these magical moments have no photos but here are some.
Getting to ride on the workmax with all your gear.
The yurt waiting for you in glorious sunshine.
The camp kitchen with all you will need.
The stunning view to be admired.
Putting up the home touches.
Getting the barbeque going and cooking veggies from the garden.
Toasting marshmallows in the embers and dipping them in chocolate sauce or honey.
Waking to a glorious sunrise and seeing Tim and his dog checking the sheep
outlined against the horizon.
The first cup of tea.
When even the sauce bottle looks beautiful.
Visiting the garden when you don`t normally see it.
When your sister goes home for supplies and comes back with freshly made
sandwiches for lunch and there are blackberries for tea.
When your great-nephew has a go at building a miniature garden.
When we all pile in the tiny yurt for icecreams and your niece-in-law
dresses up as a fairy to the delight of Alfie and all of us.
When one of the horses escapes and your nephew and his wife are confident enough
to put him back where he belongs.
When we all enjoy the new parachute game.
The excited face of your great-nephew as he gets ready to sleep in a tent
for the first time in his 2 year old life.
Saying hello to the donkeys and feeding them apples.
Coming home and sleeping in your own bed.
And not forgetting being led round the garden by 5 year old Poppy, in her fairy dressing up clothes,
to see all the magical places.
Reading her letter to the fairies ...... which leads me to the belief that I have long held....that children should always be shown and be able to feel, the magic in their own lives, for as long as possible.
And finally.....Little Fairy Alfie.
Who could resist staying in these lovely yurts, with all the home comforts, real beds, decorated beautifully and in such wonderful surroundings.
It is an experience that everyone should try and I highly recommend it.
So do my family.
