As we have been invited away over Christmas, we decided not to have a Christmas tree which would be the first time in all the years we have been married.
But we decided to do an alternative instead.
I have long wanted to try a 2D type of tree. If I had found enough driftwood of the right size it would have been in driftwood. As it is, it is made from pruned wood.
We cut it to size, then strung the pieces together. It took some time to balance but in the end it was ready to decorate.
My sister Paula, gave us some straw decorations and it seemed an ideal way to use them.
With a star on each end and some glittery lametta it was complete.
The best thing is that Steve can actually see the television this year.
This £1 pair of mittens were enhanced with embroidered snowflakes.
They will be for Frazer to wear during the fun run on Sunday.
I`ve also tried a donkey sock toy.
Santa has come to the farm.
Carols in the barn next week at 6.30.
Oh! That tree loooks great - much better than the one Kirsty Allsoppy created on her programme the other week (I'm not a fan of hers!). Love the donkey and the mittens too :-)
