Currants and Candytuft

After two days of cooler, miserable weather, it was good to get back into both our gardens.
There is plenty to do.
I planted 3 trays of wallflowers into the raised bed.
It`s great to think that I shall be able to plant wallflowers at Freshwinds now that
the flowerbeds are protected.

I picked nearly 11lbs of blackcurrants.

I picked helichrysum and statice and its drying in the polytunnel.

Steve completed the fruit net and laid down some of the onions.

Looking across the bed containing French beans, runner beans and sweetpeas.

The candytuft looks very pretty.

The lavatera complements.

The sweetcorn is romping away.

The nicotiania is perfuming the polytunnel.

A job for next time!!!
Yes, it is the arch.

A good harvest today....broad beans, cucumbers, a pepper, courgettes,
tomatoes, a kohlrabi and carrots.

    1. Well we`ve done it now but in fine drizzle which was not pleasant. Anne gave Toffee and Treacle some willow branches and they loved them.
