These are the days ....
to wake up early, wander up the garden in a dressing gown and see what`s new.
These are the days ....
for not wearing a fleece
or wellies.
These are the days .... to take a foxglove walk.
These are the days ....
to sit outside until 7 p.m with a cool glass of wine
after a lovely day.
These are the days ...
when the polytunnel reaches 45 degrees.
And these are the days ....
for poppies.
Papery, silky pastels.
And all having seeded themselves.
These are the days ...
to sit under the orchard trees for a picnic lunch.
These are the days ...
to admire the strange calendula colours.
And these are the days .....
to find new occupants in the insect hotel!!
These are the days ....
when roses and daisies mix in profusion.
These are the days ....
to admire close up, the delicate florets of the frothy elderflower.
And these are the days ...
to thank God for the garden.
Such a beautiful time of year. These are the days when I wish I didn't have to go to work!
