Great excitement at the farm today, as new guests arrive and children suddenly have the freedom to explore and discover all the creatures in the garden and round the farm. It is such a pleasure to hear their exclamations of surprise and their connections with their school studies......"Oh the chicken" " Oh the rabbits" "Oh the butterflies (or) dragonflies"
You can`t help but get caught up in the joyfulness.
Two new bunnies arrived....Treacle and Toffee.
They are soooo cute but a little nervous as yet.
But most exciting of all is the arrival of two new donkeys which came earlier in the week.
They have unusual coats and at first glance could be mistaken for cows.
The first day we saw them, we approached for these photos and though they came towards us for a handful of green grass, they didn`t come too close.
The next time we visited, they were indoors due to the rain, so again I approached with grass. This time they both came up and sniffed my hand. I was very pleased. I feel like the connection is made.
They are friends and I think it`s nice that they have each other.
Today it began to rain, and Anne brought them both under cover.
Later there will be a shelter in their field.
It`s great to be part of the continuing story of the farm.
They are all so cute. I look forward to meeting them all soon :) x x x
