Gandalf`s Friend

Thank goodness for a bright, sunny day.
We spent a lovely, long morning at Freshwinds Garden.
There were lots of campers around.
Anne was working on the new gate area.
Tim was mowing the field above the campsite.

The garden was mown by Nigel earlier in the week so its looking pretty spruce.

Paula came to visit with Tom and after tea in the polytunnel, they helped with a few jobs.

Steve set to and made a framework for the alstromeria....as seen in Sarah Raven`s garden, last Wednesday. It usually flops all over the place.

I completed weeding the long path.

And admired the self-seeded poppies along the way.

Will-I-Am got a new pair of hands.

Here are the melons. I took the netting off last time and sorted through all the growth. I was very surprised at how much growth there is. The next job will be to make sure there are only 2 fruits per plant to get maximum growth.

Nicotiania have seeded themselves ....

.......a sunflower has seeded itself.

Calendula, artichokes and cardoons all thriving.

The feverfew is at its best and unloved by rabbits....hooray.
It seeds itself everywhere. I am potting it up for the little nursery.

Growth in this damp weather is fantastic.

Cob shed views are great from every angle.

Ladybirds are hidden around the garden.
This one is Gandalf`s friend.
