On Tuesday, we had our first group of visitors to Freshwinds Garden.
It was a lovely summer`s day.
Our visitors came in a mini-bus and parked right next to the donkeys so we went to see them first.
We fed them on ash leaves which they seemed to love.
Next we went into the garden where Anne had released the chickens and tortoise, much to the delight of everyone.
It was good to feel the soft feathers on the chickens.
Some of us sat in the small yurt and Gill, who came to help, put the tortoises inside with us.
Some of us preferred quiet moments on our own.
We all wandered round the garden looking at the sunflowers and the scarecrows.
Ron had his picture taken with the ladies.
I enjoyed hearing about his art project....a collage using shells.
Thank goodness the gazebo was up. We all wanted to sit in the shade
for tea, lemonade and delicious cakes.
Peggy the dog, came to eat up all the crumbs and gained quite a few new friends.
There was just time to feed the donkeys once more before it was time to go home.
Amidst many thank yous and waving from the mini-bus, they set off for home.
It was a lovely morning which we all thoroughly enjoyed.
Hope we can do it again soon.
Thank you to Paula, Tom and Gill who were there to help.

Oh and David had a great idea....he reckoned Gandalf needed a friend (and not a ladybird)
He thinks the next scarecrow should be Bilbo Baggins.
Thanks for that idea David. I`ll see what I can do.
