Mud, more Mud and Violets

We made a quick visit to Freshwinds Garden today to check on the cob shed after the rain and storms. It is still intact though a lump has fallen off inside near the door, but nothing drastic.
The ground is squelching under our feet. Water is just sitting in the bed edges.

This is the butterfly garden.

This is the area near the compost heaps.

The farmyard is awash with mud and puddles.

The rabbits have been enjoying the new strawberry leaves.

A tiny bunch of palma violets which smell so lovely.

The pigs are in one of the stables. I`m glad about that, though they might enjoy the mud.
My brother reminded me that our Granny would be 111 today, her birthday.
Here she is when she was very young and very beautiful.
I remember her with much love and gratitude for the special times we spent together, her encouragement and all she taught me ......music, singing, embroidery, crochet, pen and pencil games etc etc.
