Today was a good day for roots, according to the moon phases, and Steve was determined to get them in. Consequently we were at the garden by half past nine (without the chitted potatoes or onions)
So that was two journies!!
The potatoes went in. The soil was moist and easy to manage.
The onions went in.
In the meantime, I tidied the herb garden and put up the sweetpea canes.
Then I sowed carrots, spring onions and radishes in the raised bed. The soil is soft and rich.
I am hoping the carrots will do well there.
It`s great to see the potato rows earthed up. Things are really getting going now.
The first campers were packing up to go home. They said they had had a great time.

All in all a good morning. The rain held off and we enjoyed sowing the first crops.
A few more days like this and we will be well away.
Congratulations! You really are speeding ahead. Looks like you had the best weather in the UK this weekend! Lovely
