Cob Shed Roof

Today has been the perfect autumn day with work done in our own garden in the morning, and the afternoon at Freshwinds. It was a lovely day but just a little chill in the air.

I started near the main gate and worked my way along the path and raised beds
clearing, weeding and planting.

Paula joined us and we sat in the sunshine for a cuppa and Galaxy flakes,
a treat from my brother James.
We got the scarecrows into the greenhouse, trimmed the herbs back and pulled up the wild flower seed heads, scattering seeds as we went.

We spotted a sparrowhawk in the field next to the shepherd`s hut.
They are not particularly good photos.

Paula also captured these shots near the pond.
The dragonflies seemed to be mating on the wing.

Steve worked on the cob shed roof.
It has a 12 sided block at the top centre.

He did half of the joists. They are a bit long and will be trimmed later.

A delightful day.
