Christmas Craft

November seemed to be very busy and December is set to be even more so.
The weather hasn`t been too bad, some sunshine and some wind.
Some parts of the country have
suffered flooding.
I lost my voice for several days....not easy when you`re teaching children new songs!!
But it was just about OK for our coffee morning on Monday.
We held it for MND which stands for Motor Neurone Disease. My brother-in-law died from this in 2010.
We had a raffle and sold our own crafts.
We raised £300.
Steve`s latest wooden boxes sold well. They are quite small, all with tiny drawers. These are his experiments after receiving the gift from friends, Lark and Alan and being inspired.

We have been very busy making lots of Christmas presents.
Steve has been trying wind spinners with scrap wood.

I`ve made a story sack for my great-niece, Macie. It is based on Snow White.
There is a set of finger puppets, books, pictures, a dwarf hat and beard, a sack of diamonds, a plastic mirror, a red headband and a small broom . I have had a great time putting it together.

They all fit together into this box and are held in by elastic.

Just adding a new bit here.....it`s the name of the lady who creates these lovely patterns.
Monica Fuertes at HandMadeAwards. A Google search will soon find her.

To celebrate our great day out skating in London, I created these skater angels.

A good friend of ours, Mike, told us that when he was a boy he always wanted a Punch and Judy puppet so I have made him these two for Christmas.....for his inner child. Let`s hope he doesn`t see
 this post as it`s secret.

This rabbit is an Alan Dart pattern. I`ve just added a little blue jacket and a carrot.
For a friend who loves the Beatrix Potter stories.

Finally, we kept warm this afternoon by stacking our latest delivery of logs
....to keep our home fires burning over Christmas.
