Daffodils and Camellias

Back in England, the most stunning sound was the birdsong....(we heard very little whilst we were away.)
Our own garden had changed quite a bit....lots more daffodils, camellias, pulmonaria, crocuses..... and because the weather was so good, butterflies, bees and other insects out and about.
Over the course of 3 days we spent a total of 13 hours in our garden and even fitted in a walk on the beach.
My plug plants had arrived whilst we were away so I had 3 boxes of 120 plugs each. Luckily there was no frost or I would have lost them all. I always order from
Gardening Direct UK. A great company and the plants are consistently good.
Here are the geraniums.

Here they are after potting on, with some fleecy protection.

The daffodils are at their best.

I think this is Rip Van Winkle.

The camellias were slow to start this year. We usually have one or two flowers for Christmas.

Lots of colour and lots to enjoy.
Lots of posts to replace, a wall to rebuild, new garden seats to buy, lots of tidying up.
It`s easy to become over-whelmed .....but .......one step at a time or at the
very least maybe three or four. Ha ha.
And that`s before I`ve even mentioned Freshwinds!!!

  2. You are a bit further north than us. Still you can enjoy them on into May.
