Pett Village Flower Festival

For two days this month, our church in Pett has it`s annual flower festival.
The theme this year is "Spirit of the Dance."
Displays are sponsored by people in memory of their loved ones.
We went along today to view the flowers. It was a miserable morning but the afternoon was better.
The banks outside the church have been left to wild flowers which is truly lovely.

Outside the church door were plants for sale, which I daren`t look at, as I have no room to squeeze another thing in.

Just inside the door was a glorious display.....
"Ballet"

This colourful display was called....."Conga"

This is called ....."Strictly Judges"

"Charleston"

This one is called .... "Scottish Sword Dancing" .... in memory of Jimmy Harris,
my friend`s dad and one of my own Dad`s best mates.

"Tap Dancing" and "Tea Dance"

At the front of the church there were home-made sweets and crafts for sale. I bought some sweets and took them to a birthday party this afternoon. I forgot to try one though
I did try some delicious samples in the church.

"Pasa Doble" and "Spanish Flamenco"

"Calypso" and "Ice Dancing"

"Mexican hat Dance" and "Fan Dance"

"Irish Dancing"

Creativite thinking and lots of hard work went into making these floral displays for our delight.
Well done to the flower arrangers of Pett.
