More Cobbing

We had another cobbing day today. Four more mixes, thanks to my sister, nephews and great-nephews.
It was a lovely day and we took a picnic. The last time we were together there, we had to shelter in the greenhouse because it was so cold.
Some of us got muddy backsides and everyone got muddy hands.

At the end of the afternoon Steve reckoned we only need to do another
4 to 5 more sessions and we will reach the top.

Aiden loved the sand sack.

And Tom got stuck in.

Earlier in the week, Anne completed her fairy garden in a trug.
It looks very good and can be seen in the Wool Barn.

Anne is currently training for the Three Peaks Challenge at the beginning of June. This involves walking up Snowdon,
Ben Nevis and Scafell.
Today she was on the South Downs doing a 16 mile walk.
She had a lovely day to do it.

I planted some helichrysum, the colourful dried flowers, which are
all covered up to protect them from rabbits.

I also planted parsley and lemon coriander in the  herb garden.
I think the herb garden needs to be extended when the sedum is used for the cob shed roof.

Here are my latest mice, made from recycled T-shirt fabric.

The home-made cakes, cooked by my sister, have been popular on Saturday mornings.
