Scarecrow Makeover and Yummy Cakes

Mabel has had a makeover and a quite technical one at that. Steve has given her articulated arms with hinges. This means she can change position and, ....it`s much easier to get new clothes on her.
It`s a pity I haven`t got photos showing us trying to get new leggings and tights on her yesterday, in our own garden. It was quite hilarious. I think she needs some wellies next.

When we arrived at the garden bearing cakes for the Wool Barn, there were quite a few campers around.
Some are making return visits and some were keen to walk at Pett Level.....a stunning area less than
2 miles from the farm.

Reuben and Freddie were enjoying the orphan lambs.

We set up the cakes in the barn. We had to go back later in the day to take more containers.
The fruit cakes seem to be popular.

The guinea pigs came out for the first time. Here they are inside their hutch. I don`t think
they have names yet.

We took more plants for the little nursery.
There are strawberry plants, herbs,
helleborus, helianthus and alstromeria.

The forgetmets are lovely.

The honesty is attracting bees already.

This is the pear blossom. I hope there is no frost.

A future project. The willow arch needs a good strong framework of wood. Every time I tie it up, the wind blows it all back down and it is a most peculiar shape. A little job for Steve I think.
