Cyprus was lovely....perfect weather and a beautiful villa. We needed it after our very sad news.
As we didn`t feel like taking many holiday-type photos, we decided to snap mainly flora and fauna.
Here is our first bug and it was quite large.
This millipede was near the pool.
There were many lizards around the villa....some quite large.
Walking to our nearest restaurant, we nearly stepped on this!!! whilst trying to get artistic shots of dried grasses with pink sky beyond.
When we showed the picture at the restaurant, to the owner`s grandfather, Euclid, he was concerned and insisted on driving us home every evening after that. He didn`t want us to step on one in the dark. It is a bull-nosed viper. If you are bitten, you need to see a doctor very quickly.
Imagine my horror, on rising early next morning, looking over the villa wall and seeing a much larger version emerging from a hole, one metre away. Again in the evening we saw it come back and reverse into the hole.
I have to say that we were a bit wary after that.
An incredible hedge of geraniums.
I am always on the lookout for scarecrows.
Morning glories.
Hibiscus.
Flame trees (I think)
Lantana in the garden.
I`m not sure what this is.
And I don`t know what this is.
The sea was rough but quite spectacular.
Great pictures. Those spiky flowers are vicious, they have them in Tenerife
