The afternoon gradually warmed up, or perhaps it was the soil preparation we did.
When Paula came, we planted more potatoes, after preparing the ground.
Then we had to repair the holes in the onion bed where we think a cow got into the garden.
Some of the onion sets were scattered despite the fact that they had little roots forming.
Next we weeded and forked over the raised bed and I planted bunching onions, carrots and beetroot seeds in the bed prepared last time. It`s all covered over with fleece.
The soil is just really good to work....damp, friable and breaking down well.
There was a predominance of blue in the garden today.
Bee borage, forgetmenots and pulmonaria.
Quite a bit of white blossom as well.
Paula waiting for me to take my usual photos before making our way home.
Steve worked on the cob roof all afternoon.
Good job Paula is there to help me with the gardening.
The first yurters are coming this weekend. I think the weather will be fine.
If it gets a bit chilly in the evening, they can light their wood-burning stoves and be nice and cosy.
